Occasion: Special, formal and ceremonial occasions.
Worn by all officers, but with different arrangements of gold
braid on the front based on rank.
Cover: A black cocked hat with gold edging, a white
plume and a white cockade fastened to the hat by a gold button.
Sword: An RNS officer's sword must be worn with this
uniform.
Description: A navy tunic with seven rows of
gold braid on each side for Captains and above, six for
Commanders and Surgeons-Commander,
four for Lieutenants and Civilian Officers and three for
Midshipmen. Gold epaulets are worn on each shoulder. Medals
are worn on the
left chest. Black trousers with a gold stripe accompany
the tunic.
