Occasion: While aboard ship or planetside. This uniform
is authorized for all officers holding the rank of Lieutenant
or Acting Lieutenant.
Cover: A black cocked hat with a white cockade fastened
to the hat by a gold button.
Sword: RNS Officer Swords are to be worn with this
uniform.
Description: A navy blue frock coat over a light-grey
waistcoat and a white shirt with black cravat. The facings
on the jacket are white, with gold buttons running down
the front. The cuffs of the frockcoat have three gold buttons
and two stripes for first lieutenants, one stripe for other
lieutenants, and no stripes for acting lieutenants. The coat
is accompanied by black knee breeches, stockings, and shoes.
Shoebuckles are optional, and white breeches are optional
for summer.
