Occasion: While aboard ship or planetside. This uniform
is authorized for officers holding the rank of Captain or
Commander.
Cover: A cocked hat with a white cockade fastened
to the hat by a gold button and trimmed with gold lace.
Sword: RNS Officer Swords are to be worn with this
uniform.
Description: A navy blue frock coat over a light-grey
waistcoat and a white shirt with black cravat. The frock
coat bears twin gold epaulets for Captains with a crown
and anchor for those of over three years post, and an anchor
for those of less htan three years post. Commanders wear
a single gold epaulet on the right shoulder.
The facings
on the jacket are white. The cuffs of the frockcoat are
navy blue with gold lace trimming the flap and four gold
stripes for captains, three for commanders. The coat is accompanied
by black knee breeches, stockings, and shoes. Shoebuckles
are optional, and white breeches are optional for summer.
