Occasion: While aboard ship or planetside. This uniform
is authorized for all marine officers.
Cover: A cocked hat trimmed with orange lace is worn
without cockade. A pith helmet may be worn when entering
a potential combat area.
Sword: Marine Officer Swords are to be worn with this
uniform.
Description: A navy-blue tailed coat piped in marine
orange with two rows of silver buttons on the front and twin
epaulettes. There
are three orange stripes on the sleeves for Colonels of the
Marines, two stripes for Captains of the Marines and
one stripe for Lieutenants of the Marines. This uniform
is worn with black trousers with an orange stripe down the
seam and black boots.
