Occasion: When officers may be at risk from biological, chemical or radioactive hazards.
Cover: The headgear consists of a hard orange helmet with fabric flaps that fit over the shoulders. The helmet should seal with the suit. The helmet is connected to a back-mounted air filter by way of a hose. The visor is clear to allow patients to see the user. The user's name is printed on a tag above the visor.
Sword: Swords are unwise with this uniform.
Description: An orange suit with black gloves, black boots and a black utility belt. There is an RNS crest or a Sivadian Public Health Service crest (pictured) on the upper left arm. Public health officials wear ID badges clipped to their utility belts. The suit is made of a special plastic that is resistant to puncture and will seal itself in the event of minor breaches within a few seconds. Nevertheless, care is indicated to ensure the integrity of the suit.
Rank Insignia: Reflective white stripes are worn on both sleeves - four stripes for captain, three for commanders and Surgeons-Commander, two for first lieutenants and senior civilian officers, and one stripe for lieutenants.
