Duty uniform (female)

The duty uniform is worn by all Public Health Service officers while on active duty. It has male and female variants.

The female version consists of a mint green frock coat with darker facings, a white blouse and a charcoal grey skirt or trousers. Black boots or shoes are worn with this uniform. A nametag bearing the officer's surname is worn on the right chest. An embroidered crest-and-shield device of the Public Health Service is worn on both upper arms.

Stripes on the officer's sleeves indicate the officer's rank. The image to left depicts the uniform of the Surgeon General, if she were female.

A cap may be worn with this uniform.
