Walter Cross, who first discovered Sivad's
native Cross Shark, described a "fearsome beast
with an evil grin." Indeed, the Cross Sharks do
appear to sport a sickly smile -- but this does not
change the fact that they are among Sivad's most lethal
ocean predators.
In the wild, researchers need special
protective equipment to study Cross Sharks, but in the
Sivadian National Aquarium's Chamberlain Hall,
the sharks can be viewed from behind the safety of underwater
glass.
The Cross Sharks are fed daily at 11 AM
and 4:30 PM. Stay in Chamberlain Hall after the
feeding to hear our expert marine biologists talk about
these incredible animals.
